“El Sonido de las Cuevas: Sound of the Caves” is a documentary by filmmaker Claudia Münch that takes a look at a wondrous world of cave houses in the South of Spain that have been inhabited since the 16th century. The film is a portrait of five cave dwellers, their journeys and their hopes and dreams.
Visual Language
Apart from postproduction — which mainly involved color correction plus some enhancement work like sky replacement or shot stabilization — the main task was to come up with a fitting visual language that would link the documentary itself to all promotional material. The art direction was done in conjunction with illustrator and graphic designer Tina Ackermann, who also developed the distinct lettering used in all media.
