TRUMPF Semicon
A film about the craft behind semiconductor manufacturing.
Modern semiconductor production operates at dimensions that are difficult to imagine, let alone observe.
For TRUMPF Semiconductor, we created a film built around the idea of making that invisible level of craftsmanship perceptible.
Instead of treating the technologies as diagrams or technical explanations, we approached them through movement, material and timing. Processes are slowed down, enlarged and isolated until their physical qualities become visible: a precisely timed laser pulse, material reacting to plasma, light travelling across a surface or individual components coming together.
The aim was not to turn technology into science fiction. It was to stay close enough to the actual processes that their precision remains believable, while giving them enough space to become cinematic.

R&D and look development
Much of the project was developed through experimentation.
Particle systems, fluid behaviour, plasma, laser interaction, materials and microscopic structures were tested repeatedly before becoming part of the final sequences.
These studies were not simply technical preparation. They shaped the visual language of the film and helped define how each process should move, react and feel.
